House Spill

Terms of Use

Effective October 4, 2026

These terms describe the permitted use of housespill.com and its content. House Spill LLC operates this website. “House Spill,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to House Spill LLC. Please read these terms alongside our Privacy Notice and Advertising Disclosure.

1. Information, not a service contract

House Spill publishes consumer information and editorial explainers. Our content is general information, not individualized legal, financial, medical, engineering or other professional advice. It does not replace an inspection, a licensed professional’s assessment or the terms of an actual product or service contract. Check the requirements and circumstances that apply to you before acting.

We aim to be accurate, identify sources and correct material errors. Laws, prices, availability and product terms can change. Publication or review dates describe when material was prepared or checked; they are not a promise that every detail remains current. Tell us about a possible error using the contact below.

2. Advertisements and external websites

House Spill may receive compensation from labeled advertising and referral links. Compensation can affect which offers appear and where they are placed. An advertisement is not an independent product test, a complete market comparison or an endorsement of a contractor. See our Advertising Disclosure.

Ad links may pass through a referral network before opening another website. That website’s terms, privacy practices, availability and contact-consent language apply there. House Spill does not provide the advertised remodeling, water-treatment, mobility or other services and is not a party to your contract with a provider. Verify the provider’s credentials, scope, pricing and terms directly. These statements do not excuse House Spill from responsibility for its own conduct under applicable law.

3. Newsletter and privacy choices

Newsletter signup is optional and separate from requesting a quote or consenting to calls from an advertiser. We use the information you provide as explained in the collection notice. You may unsubscribe at any time or use privacy choices to opt out of our affiliate tracking redirects or submit a privacy request. Reading the site or these terms does not, by itself, give consent to marketing messages or waive privacy rights.

4. Permitted use and intellectual property

You may read, link to and share links to our public articles. You may quote reasonable excerpts with attribution and a link, subject to applicable law. Original site content is protected by intellectual-property law; third-party material and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Except for these permissions, applicable licenses or rights provided by law, obtain permission before republishing complete articles, selling copies or using our name or branding to imply endorsement. Nothing here limits fair use or other statutory rights.

Ordinary search indexing and lawful citation are welcome. Do not bypass access controls, interfere with the site, attempt unauthorized access to private subscriber or request records, submit malicious code, impersonate someone, or use automated traffic to disrupt services. Do not enroll another person’s email address without their permission.

5. Messages you send us

Send only information you are authorized to provide. Avoid passwords, payment details, identity documents or sensitive health information in general messages or privacy-request forms. We use messages to respond and operate the site as described in the Privacy Notice. Sending a private message does not give us permission to publish it as a testimonial or add you to a marketing list.

6. Availability and reasonable limits

To the extent permitted by law, the site and its general information are provided “as is” and “as available,” without a guarantee of uninterrupted access, error-free operation or a particular result. We may update content or restrict abusive access while continuing to honor applicable privacy and unsubscribe obligations.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, House Spill is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site. This limitation does not exclude liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer rights or remedies, or limits our legal duties concerning advertising, personal information or email.

7. Changes and questions

When these terms change, we will update the effective date and give any additional notice required by law. Changes do not retroactively remove rights you already have. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or a class-action waiver.

For questions, corrections or content permissions, contact [email protected]. For personal-information requests, use our privacy request form or the same email address.
