House Spill

How advertising works here.

House Spill earns money from advertising and referral relationships. When you use a labeled ad link or submit a request on the linked site, we may be paid.

Articles and ads are different

We choose consumer topics, including topics relevant to our advertising partners. Commercial relationships influence which offers we display and where they appear. The offers are not a complete market comparison, a ranking or an endorsement of a contractor.

We keep paid placements visually separate and label them “Advertisement.” Advertisers do not control our factual conclusions. If a brand pays for an entire promotional article, we label that article and its promotional entry points as advertising—not just the link at the end.

Claims and reviews

We do not invent customer reviews, testimonials, ratings, expert credentials or hands-on testing. Our editorial explainers use cited sources and disclose relevant limits. A manufacturer’s claim is attributed to that manufacturer, not presented as our verified test result. Our AI-assisted production practices are described in our editorial standards.

What happens when you click

Our ad links normally use a referral network and then open the advertiser’s site. We do not collect contractor-quote details on House Spill. Availability, pricing and contact-consent terms are set by the destination; review them before submitting a form. Newsletter signup does not give an advertiser permission to call you.
